Plan the Purchase is a travel planning and purchase guidance service operated by Plan the Purchase LLC.("we," "us," or "our"), based in the southeastern United States. Our website is located at planthepurchase.com.

We only collect information you provide to us directly through our intake form and review submission form. This may include:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Travel preferences, dates, destinations, and budget details you share during the planning interview
- Reviews or feedback you choose to submit
We do not use tracking pixels, behavioral ad networks, or third-party analytics beyond basic Netlify hosting logs.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Build and deliver your personalized travel itinerary or purchase analysis
- Contact you about your inquiry via email or phone
- Display verified client reviews on our website (with your consent)
- Improve our service based on the types of requests we receive
We do not use your information for automated marketing, profiling, or advertising of any kind.
4. AI-Assisted Intake
Our intake form uses an AI assistant (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to conduct a friendly planning interview. The conversation you have during the interview — including your name and travel details — is transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not share your contact information (email or phone) with Anthropic.
The full transcript of your intake interview is saved securely to our Google Drive account and emailed to our advisor for the sole purpose of building your itinerary.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate this site:
- Netlify — hosts this website and its serverless functions. May log IP addresses per their standard hosting practices.
- Google (Drive & Gmail) — stores intake transcripts and delivers email notifications to our advisor.
- Anthropic — powers the AI planning assistant in our intake form.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site.
We do not use Facebook, Google Analytics, advertising networks, or any data broker services.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill your request and maintain records of completed plans. If you would like your information deleted, email us at planthepurchase@gmail.com and we will remove it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, you may:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information
- Opt out of any future communications from us
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell personal information and never have.

This site does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Netlify's hosting infrastructure may set a functional session cookie as part of standard web operations. We do not use cookie-based analytics.

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
